Our premier San Francisco-based AI Startup client is seeking a Staff Full-Stack Software Engineer with 6+ years of experience to join our lean, highly autonomous team. We’re seeking a product-minded, senior-level full-stack engineer who thrives on ownership. You will be instrumental in helping build the layer between powerful AI models and real people’s lives, owning high-impact projects from concept through to production.
Responsibilities:
- Own and deliver major features end-to-end, from initial prototype to production deployment.
- Help define and improve the system architecture to support our growing product.
- Drive technical decisions and take full responsibility for the quality and polish of what you ship.
- Engage directly with customers to understand their needs and shape what gets built.
- Diagnose production issues and continuously improve the codebase.
Requirements:
- BS/MS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or similar education and experience.
- 6+ years of full-stack experience (50% front-end/50% back-end).
- Expertise building high-throughput services with Node.js.
- Experience with agent frameworks and multiple LLM providers.
- Proficiency with front-end development with React, GraphQL and TypeScript.
- Proficiency with back-end languages with Python, Node.js and AWS.
- Thorough knowledge of distributed systems on the backend.
- Expertise with MongoDB or other document databases with an understanding of schema design trade-offs.
- Excellent communications skills, with ability to influence stakeholders.
Relocation and Visa Requirements:
- Strongly prefer candidates that reside in the San Francisco Bay Area.
- Will provide relocation assistance to the right candidate (that resides in the United States).
- Will transfer H1-B and TN Visas (that resides in the United States/Canada/Mexico).
- All candidates MUST reside in the United States.
