This Northern Virginia small R&D Embedded Engineering organization is seeking a FPGA Engineer. This unique Embedded Engineering team is developing and creating superfast computational devices to perform challenging calculations. The FPGA Engineer will be responsible for the following tasks:
Responsibilities
- Invent novel information processing approaches and computer architectures
- Explore digital, analog, multi-die, and emerging architectures.
- Architect, design, and oversee the testing of ASIC prototypes.
- Design FPGA-based emulation platforms and ASIC testbeds.
- Collaborate with cross-functional R&D/Engineering organizations on future engineering designs and proposals.
Requirements:
- Masters or PhD in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science
- 2+ years of experience for successful FPGA design, which include using Verilog/VHDL to test ASIC prototypes.
- Strong RTL digital design skills (Verilog/System Verilog/VHDL).
- High-quality publications related to computer architecture and/or chip design is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability for clear communication
- This is a Hybrid role (in office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday).
