Our premier San Francisco-based startup client is hiring a senior Full-Stack Engineer to help build and scale consumer-centric AI intelligent interfaces on our backend systems platform. This role will take full ownership of backend projects from concept through production launch, with a strong focus on performance, reliability, infrastructure efficiency, and security.
Responsibilities:
- Build and operate production-grade backend services and distributed systems on AWS or GCP.
- Design data storage and retrieval using a mix of vector, OLAP, SQL, NoSQL, cache, and search systems.
- Implement and run observability practices including monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting to maintain system health.
- Design and implement comprehensive test harnesses that cover deployment and runtime failure scenarios.
- Own backend projects end-to-end, including complex feature development, CI/CD + Terraform, stability, and security.
Requirements:
- BS/MS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science of equivalent technical experience.
- 6+ years of professional experience building production-grade software.
- Solid backend experience — building services, APIs, and database integrations with Python, Django, or comparable stacks.
- Experience using using Claude Code
- Strong ownership: able to take projects from concept to production independently.
Salary Range:
- $200K – $500K
- Startup Equity (Stock Options)
Relocation and Visa Requirements:
- Strongly prefer candidates that reside in the San Francisco Bay Area .
- Will provide relocation assistance to the right candidate (that resides in the United States).
- Will transfer H1-B and TN Visas (that resides in the United States/Canada/Mexico).
- All candidates MUST reside in the United States.
