Job Location: Greenville, TX or Hybrid. Responsibilities can be performed remotely for one or two days per week depending on the current demands of the program.
Job Description: is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to develop and maintain a vision for the products and communicate that vision to the Scrum Team. The PO is the products’ key stakeholder.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for products and product features from concept to EOL
- Work with internal stakeholders (e.g. Systems Engineering) and external customers to ensure that business, quality, and functional goals are met with each product release
- Manage the team’s prioritized backlog and works to ensure that all stakeholders are aligned at each stage of the development lifecycle
- Understand both the business side of the product release as well as where it fits within the overall system architecture and is ultimately responsible for representing the end user’s needs
- Work with stakeholders at the Capability and Program/Baseline levels to coordinate deliverables
- Work with Capability Owners to refine Epics to make sure that they can be understood by the team
- Convey the vision of what is needed to the team
- Prioritize the backlog to meet program-level objectives
- Work with the team to decompose Epics into Stories
- Ensure that all user stories are correctly written
- Work with the scrum team to establish the user story acceptance criteria
- Associate efforts to capabilities necessary for completing a minimum viable product
- Identify Subject Matter Experts well in advance where the team will need their inputs
- Review and track metrics generated by the agile tool sets to help prioritize backlog and predict schedule risks
- Display transparency in all aspects of the team’s work to the organization
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
- OR Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
- Or Associate’s Degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
- OR In lieu of a degree, a High School Diploma with 10 years of PO experience
- Related Engineering experience may be considered in lieu of PO experience
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Active Secret or Top Secret Clearance
- B.S. and M.S. Degrees in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or Business Administration
- Knowledge of DoD Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (ISR) platforms and technologies
- Knowledge of Signals Intelligence with emphasis on Electronic Intelligence (ELINT)
- SAFe® certifications (e.g. SSM, SPO/PM, etc.)
- Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization including Director and above as well as across multiple functional disciplines
- Ability to work in a teaming community
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral communications
